How to Rotate PDF Pages

Scanners and phone cameras often produce pages that are rotated 90 or 180 degrees. Reading them means constantly turning your head.

PDF pages store their orientation as metadata. Some viewers show the rotation you'd expect; others display the raw orientation, making rotation editing important.

   Open a rotate PDF tool

   Choose a browser tool or a desktop editor with rotate options.

   Upload your PDF

   Drop the file into the tool.

   Select the pages to rotate

   Rotate one page, a range, or the whole document.

   Click the rotate button (90° left, 90° right or 180°).

   Download the rotated PDF and confirm the change in any viewer.

• Rotate before merging so all pages land in the right orientation.
• For scanned batches, rotate the whole document first, then fix strays.
• Preview in more than one PDF reader to make sure rotation is saved.
